Hampstead NW6

early 2024

A conversion of the Ground floor apartment of a house located in Hampstead. The client oversees a full or partial footprint excavation for additional floor below the existing. Here are explored different scenarios for discussions with the client.

Proposal A: Split-level layout (above)

Proposal B: Winter garden and voids layout

Proposal C: Reduced footprint layout

Canonbury square apartment

early 2024

Two proposals for an apartment in Canonbury.

A: In this proposal two raised-level red boxes allow the space to remain functionally free for multiple uses. This scenario explores the option where the boxes host sleeping zone and a working desk. Additional division is possible via two full-height curtains.

B: Dividing an existing open-plan apartment to two smaller ones. It combines careful allocation of the standard home functions with the idea to allow free space which can be used for a dining room, a workspace, or an atelier.
