programme R:esidential

Our Residential programme focuses on creating original places for living with the idea to offer original narratives to our homes. Specialising in internal layouts, we believe that weaving culture into the design will create spaces to inspire the human spirit.

In our projects we’ve set up highly sustainable standards, incorporating an innovative construction system with integrated facade insulation and cladding, green and blue roof systems, green facades, garden-terraces. Combining aesthetics and innovative technologies, we aim to provide an original product for our houses and our apartment building projects, where the environment suggests for a rich, harmonious and vibrant life.

Pyrg A: Tower House Prototype 1.0

This is a project - prototype of our new residential building - a tower house “Pyrg”. Derived from the old bulgarian word “pyrg” for “tower”, it revives with contemporary means the idea of providing a home of safety from the outside with a bubbly life on the inside.

The main idea behind the Pyrg project is to place a two-story wooden tower on the first floor of the house, surrounded by a glass façade that provides both atmospheric protection and accentuates the house as an artistic piece. A covered, double-height terrace will wrap around the glass-enclosed tower.

This house aims to be genuinely modern, both in its reimagined, liberated lifestyle and in its fabric, incorporating the latest sustainable systems and physical principles.

The Ship House

This project is developed as a prefabricated house which can be purchased from the studio as a container with its pieces and can be built by a qualified building company.

As part of the ateliermeshtra portfolio, (the am of sp+am workshop), this is a project for a suburban villa. Made in the shape of a ship, here the living spaces, the structure and its details, the interior furniture are components of one entire object – a piece of art.

The wooden structure of the ship is expressed on the outside, crafted with precise joinery work, which gives it the characteristic silhouette. The house includes a parlour, a kitchen, a wooden-domed bedroom and two bathrooms, both integrated within big hybrid furniture pieces on both floors, each hosting numerous facilities.

Layouts: Case study

In this series of layouts we explore the multiple opportunities a house can offer.

As a series of 1 to 16 modules, on one or two stories, enclosing a central patio or a modular garden space, we expand the various layout configurations with the idea to use them as a base for conversation with our clients.

Understanding that each person and family is unique, through this method we can cover a big variety of needs whilst offering a broader programme - beyond the standard understanding of home or place to live.
